Shobha Yatra – 21st January 2024



On 21st January 2024, our foundation trust organized a grand Shobha Yatra, celebrating the enthusiasm and devotion of the people of Delhi regarding the installation of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. The procession was a majestic and spiritually uplifting event, bringing together hundreds of devotees who expressed their reverence and excitement through active participation. The event was hosted at the Shri Ram Temple in Surajmal Vihar, East Delhi , under the aegis of Shri Nanak Foundation, and witnessed an outpouring of devotion and faith.
The Shobha Yatra featured a series of beautifully decorated tableaus, depicting key scenes and characters from the Ramayana, including Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and other divine figures. These artistic representations captivated the audience and provided a unique visual storytelling experience. The streets of East Delhi came alive with the chanting of bhajans, devotional songs, and slogans in praise of Lord Ram, creating a truly spiritual atmosphere.
During the event, CA Ankit Gupta was quoted in the report, highlighting that the procession provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for devotees to witness Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman in a grand spectacle. Additionally, Foundation President CA Liril Bansal spoke about the significance of the Yatra, emphasizing its role in fostering cultural and spiritual unity among the people. The procession followed a well-planned route, covering key locations in East Delhi, including Anand Vihar, Manak Vihar, Ashoka Niketan, and Jhilmil, before culminating at the Pashupatinath Temple in Vishwas Nagar.
The event not only served as a spiritual journey for devotees but also as a symbol of unity, tradition, and faith . Many participants expressed their joy at being part of such a historic moment, which strengthened their connection to the rich cultural and religious heritage of India. The Yatra was also accompanied by traditional music, devotional dance performances, and special prayers , adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
